Victims of Crime Act 2001

The Victims of Crime Act 2001 lays down principles to govern the treatment of victims of crime in the criminal justice system; to provide limited rights to statutory compensation for injury suffered as a result of the commission of criminal offences; to repeal the Criminal Injuries Compensation Act 1978; and for other purposes.
